2019Boy Scouts of America / Great Smoky Mtn. Council

(2019 – present) Volunteer & Merit Badge Counselor. []

2022Knox Education Foundation

(2022 – present) Board member of the Knox Education Foundation organization and current Board Chair. []

2021TN Achieves Mentor

(2021 – 2023) Serves as a TNAchieves Mentor to help new graduates as they enter secondary education. []

2021UT Medical Center – Emergency & Trauma Survivor’s Council

(2016 – 2017, 2016 – present) Served as the founding Co-Chair of the Survivor’s Council and continue to serve as a peer-mentor to patients under the care of the Trauma & Emergency Dept. []

2020Leadership Knoxville Alumni Engageent Committee

(2020 – present) Serves on the alumni engagement committee for the last two years to help plan events and build connectivity among Leadership Knoxville graduates. []

2020UTK EMBA Alumni Advisory Council

(2020 – present) Serves as a member of the Alumni Advisory Council helping connect business school alumni in strategic ways. []

2019Legacy Parks Foundation

(2019 – present) Serving as a board member to help this East Tennessee nonprofit organization working to ensure that our community enjoys exceptional recreational opportunities, natural beauty and open spaces, and that these assets exist for generations to come. []

2020Random Acts of Flowers

(2008 – 2020) Founder, board member and the President of the board of this national floral recycling charity supporting patients in hospitals, senior care facilities and hospice. []

2019Sertoma Center’s “Labor of Love” Home Build

(2019) Helped build homes for Sertoma’s special needs residents in East Knoxville. []

2019Rural Metro – AMR Citizen’s Academy

(2019) Graduate of the 8-week Citizen’s Academy to learn about Knox County’s fire and ambulance service provider. []

2019P-Club Neighborhood Group

(2018 – 2019) Served as a board member for the Peninsula Club in the Riverbend Neighborhood Community. [PeninsulaClub]

2018Honor Air Knoxville

(2014, 2018) Served as a sponsor chaperone for the Honor Air Veteran’s flights to Washington, D.C. []

2017District Attorney’s Citizen’s Academy

(2017) Graduate of the 6th Judicial District Knox County District Attorney’s Office Citizens Academy to learn about the prosecutorial side of Knox County’s justice system. []

2017Knoxville Youth Sports

(2017) Volunteered as a coach for a KYS youth baseball team. []

2017Childhelp inc.

(2017) Served as a member of the Executive Director search committee. []

2017S.T.A.R. Therapuedic Riding Academy

(2017) Co-Chair of the largest annual special event to raise funds for this therapeutic horse riding program serving special needs members of the community. []

2015Alliance for Better Nonprofits

(2015 – 2019) Served as a founding board member for the region’s nonprofit educational center. []

2016UT Medical Center – Tee Up for Trauma

(2015, 2016) Chair of the annual golf tournament fundraiser supporting the Emergency & Trauma Survivor’s Council program. []

2016Univ. of Tennessee Haslam Business School

(2014, 2015, 2016) Hosted the annual dinner event for the members of the Executive Business school. []

2016F.B.I. Citizen’s Academy

(2016) Graduate of the 10-week Citizen’s Academy to learn about America’s federal investigative and intelligence agency. []

2008Leadership Knoxville

(2008) Graduate of Leadership Knoxville’s 10-month Flagship Program with more than 1,300 leaders from business, education, healthcare, government, religious institutions, non-profit and arts organizations. []

2007Carson Newman University

(2006 – 2007) Served as an adjunct professor teaching screenwriting to budding film studies students. []

2014Bijou Theatre Center

(2007 – 2014) Served as a board member and President of the board for this one-of-a-kind historic vaudeville theatre. []

2011The Joy of Music School

(2006 – 2011) Served as a board member and President of the board for this nonprofit music school in the heart of Knoxville. []

2008Knoxville Museum of Art

(2008) Volunteered for Knoxville’s premier art museum. []


(2006 – 2008) Served as a volunteer, along with our dogs Jake & Waffles, in schools and hospitals for this therapeutic animal bond program. []

(2007 – 2008) Volunteered as a board member for East Tennessee’s public radio station. []

2006Nucleus Knoxville

(2006) Served as the Programs Chair confirming monthly speakers for this young business leader’s networking group.

2006Introduction Knoxville

(2006) Graduate of the 6-week Introduction Knoxville program. [Introduction Knoxville]

2008Knoxville Symphony Orchestra

(2006 – 2008) Served as a board member for one of our country’s oldest, and finest, symphonies. []

2010Center City Events

(2005 – 2010) Founder and Producer of the nonprofit organization behind the formation of landmark downtown events such as Holidays on Ice (downtown Ice Rink), Daddy Daughter Dance, Annie & Mary Poppins Movie Sing-A-Longs, and the East TN Chili Cook-Off. Many of these events still continue today and serve as fundraisers for nonprofit organizations.

2004East TN Film & TV Commission

(2002 – 2004) Served as an advisory committee member to help promote filmmaking in the region.
